Starting Solids Set -2nd spoon free for a limited time!

Color: Classic

Introducing solids? Our Starting Solids Set is perfect for babies' first foods whether parent-assisted spoon feeding or baby-led feeding. Babies and toddlers love the sensory exploration with bright colors, cool touch and shiny finish - our little ones love to see their reflections.
For ages: 6 months+

Benefits:

  • The training cup with a rolled edge allows infants and toddlers to practice skills early without big spills or broken dishes. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends introducing a cup at 6 months.
  • The spoons are big enough to keep food on (so it doesn't fall out and cause frustration), but small enough to fit in baby's mouth. The short handle provides more control for both baby-led and parent-assisted feeding.
  • The bowl is 8 oz to easily measure portions and doubles as a snack bowl as baby grows. Useful tip: simply fill up 1/8 of the bowl as baby starts solids, and gradually increase to halfway as baby approaches school years.
  • It's stainless steel so unlike plastic - harmful chemicals won't transfer into baby's food. Our dishes are free of BPA (and all bisphenols), PVC, Phthalates, Melamine & Lead.
  • Built to last a lifetime, no peeling or breaking - plus each piece can be used beyond the first years.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • Dimensions

Why Steel Matters

Children's organs are still developing and particularly vulnerable to chemicals added to their foods from plastic or melamine dishes. Research from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society and World Health Organization - and reports from The New York Times, NPR and CNN confirm the negative effects of plastic. Today, while there are many BPA replacements, they may be as or more harmful.

Steel is inert. That means no harmful chemicals will be transferred into your child’s food with Ahimsa. Our dishes are non-porous, so bacteria won’t be left behind.

Plus our dishes are intentionally designed by a Pediatrician-mom to encourage healthy variety, portions and habits at any age. They are built to last a lifetime, no peeling or breaking - and dishwasher safe.

Why steel matters? Children's organs are still developing and particularly vulnerable to chemicals added to their foods from plastic - that's why a Pediatrician-Mom started Ahimsa with your child's safety in mind. Steel is inert.

Why Ahimsa?

Ahimsa Stainless Steel is dishwasher safe, lasts and safe for kids.

We want to be transparent. Our pricing may be higher, but so is our quality and durability. Ahimsa doesn't peel, break, leach harmful chemicals or retain odors.

Love!

I purchased the infant feeding set for my son's first Easter. Honestly, I was going to get for his first Christmas back in December and put off the purchase. The bowl helps with portion control (not that he eats a lot anyway at 11 months) and the cup is perfect for his little hands and learning to drink from an open cup. The set being pretty doesn't hurt either!

Sounds like it was all-around a great purchase:) Thanks for your support!
