For: Families

Benefits:

    • It's stainless steel so unlike plastic - harmful chemicals won't transfer into your child's food. Our dishes are free of BPA (and all bisphenols), PVC, Phthalates, Melamine & Lead.
    • Built to last a lifetime, no peeling or breaking.
    • Dishwasher safe.
    • Stackable.

Just like other dish materials, stainless steel has potential to scratch. It is also non-porous, unbreakable and inert - making it a great choice of material for your kitchen to prevent bacterial growth, broken dishes and leached chemicals.

Why Steel Matters

Children's organs are still developing and particularly vulnerable to chemicals added to their foods from plastic or melamine dishes. Research from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society and World Health Organization - and reports from The New York Times, NPR and CNN confirm the negative effects of plastic. Today, while there are many BPA replacements, they may be as or more harmful.

Steel is inert. That means no harmful chemicals will be transferred into your child’s food with Ahimsa. Our dishes are non-porous, so bacteria won’t be left behind.

Plus our dishes are intentionally designed by a Pediatrician-mom to encourage healthy variety, portions and habits at any age. They are built to last a lifetime, no peeling or breaking - and dishwasher safe.

Why steel matters? Children's organs are still developing and particularly vulnerable to chemicals added to their foods from plastic - that's why a Pediatrician-Mom started Ahimsa with your child's safety in mind. Steel is inert.

Why Ahimsa?

Ahimsa Stainless Steel is dishwasher safe, lasts and safe for kids.

We want to be transparent. Our pricing may be higher, but so is our quality and durability. Ahimsa doesn't peel, break, leach harmful chemicals or retain odors.

Mixed Review

I am excited for the plates, but I am disappointed the rainbow color was not more like the products pictured.

Thank you for your review- feedback helps us grow. Sometimes our products do look a little different from each other- you are exactly right that there can certainly be slight variances in the way the color appears. Thank you again!

I threw away all the other plastic ware

After learning about the dangers of plastics I was inspired to never use them to hold my kiddos’ food again. Now they have ahimsa everything and love it! The colors are fun and they are easy to throw in the dishwasher.

Everything They Claim to Be

These plates live up to their claims. We have been using them for a few months now and they are excellent. We do put them in the dishwasher if we are finishing a meal and about to run it. They come out with a few water spots but otherwise good as new. I am happy to have found a clean, healthy, and durable solution for my kids.
