At sweetgreen, we believe the choices we make everyday about what we eat, where our food comes from, and how it’s made have lasting impacts on our communities. And when it comes to healthy eating, we know how important it is to find a healthy meal not just for ourselves, but for our families.
Over the years, we've received feedback from countless customers requesting a healthy option they can share with their little ones. We’re excited to offer our kids menu in select markets in 2022. Our kids menu features two options, both with familiar, approachable flavors that are healthy and delicious.
Sweetgreen is sprouting at the Fashion Mall at Keystone on September 13th and bringing fresh, flavorful, made-from-scratch bowls, plates, salads, sides, and more. With over 160 locations in 13 states, we are creating a new definition of ‘fast food’ that’s delicious, sustainable, and healthy. Food the whole family will love.
Sweetgreen offers compostable bowls when you’re eating on the go, and we're excited to be partnering with Ahimsa, who offers healthy diningware at home.
While sweetgreen takes care of what’s ON the plate, learn more below about Ahimsa’s mission to remove harmful chemicals often found IN kids’ plates below.
"Sweetgreen's new kids menu items are a great choice because they provide a balanced meal of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, quality proteins and healthy fats."
- Dr. Manasa Mantravadi, Pediatrician and Founder of Ahimsa.
Every child is unique and has varying nutritional requirements. Knowing how much and what your child should eat can be confusing. And finding healthy food options when you're on the go can be nearly impossible. We are thrilled to have Sweetgreen in our hometown of Indianapolis.
To help build healthy meals when eating at home, we've created pediatrician-developed guides and tools! Our products are not just dishes, they are educational tools to encourage a lifetime of healthy habits.
Research continues to report the problem with plastic.
Eat FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES instead of processed foods or canned foods. (All cans have detectable levels of bisphenols in the lining.)
If you do use plastic containers, DON’T PUT THEM IN THE MICROWAVE OR IN THE DISHWASHER as the heat and cleaning agents increase the leaching of chemicals out of plastic.
Don’t use your plastic if you notice it’s ETCHED OR SCRATCHED.
Avoid plastic bottles with the numbers 3, 6 OR 7
USE GLASS OR STAINLESS STEEL for serving and storing food and drink instead of plastic. Ahimsa steel is a great option!
