AHIMSA® SAFETY PROMISE

NO BPA, phthalates, or PVC
NO PFAS or “forever chemicals”
NO melamine or plastic
NO lead
MADE SAFE® certified
What we use
We use premium grade 304 18/8 stainless steel. Recycled, clean and MADE SAFE® certified to prove that we do not compromise on ingredient safety.
Why stainless steel?
Because it's the only kid-friendly material recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

How it's made
We start with high-quality stainless steel—then color it using safe, durable PVD technology. It’s the same coating used on medical implants. If it’s safe enough to go inside your body, it’s safe enough for your family.
How it's not made
- NO welding: avoids high-heat contamination that can introduce lead
- NO painted or electroplated finishes that can peel and chip
- NO adhesives or hidden harmful chemicals
- NO plastic in our packaging

3rd-party testing
Every Ahimsa product undergoes rigorous, accredited lab testing. Not just once—but at multiple points in the process.
- Independently certified: MADE SAFE® certification proves NO harmful chemicals
- Heavy metal testing: lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic
- Chemical leaching tests under heat, oil and acid
- Surface durability and corrosion testing
- CPSIA, FDA, EU, Prop 65, and GreenScreen® compliance
MADE SAFE certified products are screened to ensure 15,000+ harmful chemicals have been avoided, including heavy metals and developmental toxins
GreenScreen certified products are free of PFAS and thousands of other chemicals of high concern to human health and the environment
